Can I wear black tights with red peep-toe shoes? I’m wearing a black and white wrap dress. Red purse, red jewellery, red peep-toe shoes (platform front, wooden conical heel). I know that black tights and coloured shoes are "in", but is it too "out there" to wear in public? I don’t want to wear bare legs and toeless pantyhose creep me out.

I am wearing a white eyelet skirt, pink 3/4 sleeved blouse and black sandals. I need to wear hose, what color? I’m going for a hair and makeup appointment and for certain reasons I must wear pantyhose. I am planning on wearing suntan and not white or black. What do you think. My hose are the toeless kind.

Wear "Bare or nearly bare" colored hosiery. Hanes.

The idea of hose is to make you legs look smooth, so wear shoes to compliment that. You want to see the "outfit" and in this case the "eyelet skirt" is the focus.

The rule of fashion hose match the shoes. Unless you are in white or black- you do not wear the opposite color on you legs. You look like a clown or stuck in the 80′s.

If you are Caucasian-The best look for summer is find a "FLESH" colored stocking that looks best on you. Only the very young and old wear "White" stockings with the outfit. Its not okay for the rest of us. Unless you are only wearing one color all over your body. I love the solid look, it make most folks look very "put together" in a fast way, use jewelry and accessories to make the fashion.

Suntan hose can look very fake and dark on people, so save them for winter wear with brown outfits.

The best bet is flesh colored under garments as well, they look best under anything white. The darker you skin the darker the undergarments- match your skin. That way you see the beautiful clothes and not the underwear."

BB replied: "Get a very sheer pair that matches your skin tone if you have to wear hose. Victoria’s Secret and Donna Karan make some super-thin, barely visible hose. Don’t wear black sandals with white and pink, either match your outfit or try a shade of tan or beige, black is too harsh!"

First loose the dark sandals for something lighter (like white), and since you must wear hose, choose a shade closest to your skin color. And actually, since you must wear hose, you should wear shoes. Wearing hose with sandals is tacky (even if they are toeless)"
